I thought you guys might enjoy this video of the Proton Pack overheating. It shows NeoSpud wearing the Proton Pack with me behind him as UTCPyro from Spudtech walks around. I am laughing at the melted check valve at the end there. SMOMW from Spudtech is holding the camera. It's hilarious. Check it out.

This is also pretty funny. It's UTCPyro getting his foot ran over by massive recoil from a cement slug and me watching in confusion.

K i would like to know why you have the big thing off of the barrel, I just dont see the point of it, mabey so if you need to change barrels it wont affect the handel. And how did you make it semi auto? How did the golf balls auto load and the chamber vent. One more thing anywere else i can order a hose from you know of? Mcmaster wont ship to canada.

Edit: Is the hose a flexible peice of pvc of a large air hose, Im just not shure if the pvc will be flexible enough

Thanks Andrew

The barrel track of that size allows for easy breech cutting of spuds. This way the barrel does not need to be detached, just unlocked and slid up.

The semi auto was all done on one double pole double throw switch that turns the meter valve and air blower on in one position, and the stun gun and fan on in the other position.

The golf balls have a simple gravity drop loader and the way it was designed allows air to escape around the loaded ball to vent. Once fired, the ball would push forward and create a tight seal in the barrel as it normally would.

The hose is mostly bent that way from McMaster's storage, but it is flexible enough to move a bit. You can move all you really need to at least.

I don't know any places that will that hose ship to Canada. Sorry dude.

Its annoying how a piece of art like this gets jack all comments compared to some coke bottle cannon with a ball valve.

I think people are just too stunned by awesome cannons to post properly - there isn't much you can say other than *jaw hits floor* or "That's awesome".

And there aren't many questions to ask either.

And of course they can't say things like: "You should put propaine metterring on it" or "You shuld gett a chambre fan, so you'll geta biggger bang!"
People want to feel that they can at least "pick at a problem" with the cannon - if they can't, they'll just ignore it.
Novacastrian: How about use whatever the heck you can get your hands on?
frankrede: Well then I guess it won't matter when you decide to drink bleach because your out of kool-aid.
...I'm sorry, but that made my year.

Man, maybe I should recommission this launcher. It's been almost a year since I strapped it on. After that overheating incident I haven't really trusted it. But hell, I'm sure I can figure it out and fix it. The thing is friggin fun to use.
