nice, though instead of stacking all those clays, why not set up a board and load a "shotgun" round in the same way this punt gun is demonstrated.

Sort of. More sparks= MAYBE more burned mix. More efficiently burned mix= less waste= more power.

This is why some engines use multi tipped spark plugs, or fancy multi spark ignition systems.

and combustion moves outward from each spark. it you have two sparks spaced correctly in the chamber, you could theoretically have twice the burn speed, meaning more power. more sparks in a combustion is like a faster valve in a pneumatic.

Very nice combustion Spudblaster. As I have said in some of your other finished cannon threads, I love the fact that you use longer barrels to maximize performance. That combustion looks crazy powerful. Good luck in the contest.

And BTW, I am pretty sure the BFIII was built for aesthetics and ergonomics, with power coming after those two in terms of importance...

Awesome launcher. The breech loading (is that what its called?) system is cool too. The whole thing looks very well done. Btw, What type of connector is used to lock the barrel after loading? I've never seen that type of connector before.

Hey really nice cannon, I've been researching for my first advanced combustion and this has definitely given me some ideas. Also you say you are using electronic ignition but what kind? BBQ igniter, stun gun?

Captaincrash- please don't kick up a topic over a year old to ask what kind of ignition.

In response, it is an electric BBQ ignitor.

Man there's been a rash of kick ups lately. I'm actually super irritated about this one, I saw "Combustion Contestant" and got all excited thinking the new contest had kicked off. Now I'm just mad. :x

On a side note, it's funny SB found no advantage to multiple sparks in his chamber above. My experience has been quite the opposite and more than just theoritical...in fact very noticiable performance improvement with 3 gaps over 1 in the real world.
