This is a bunsen burner ignitor I had lying around. Quite useful for pyroteching and burning myself.

What are you going to use that for? Cuase I dont think you can use that for ignition or anything.

Why not? It's built for igniting gases.............

well how would you get the end of it in the cannon without it leaking?

Well If you did put threads on the end of the burner, and covered up those holes at the end, it might work, you would have to thread the burner into the chamber. But the problem would Be the torch or burner mihgt NOT get enough oxygen in the chamber to ignite. You are going to have to have a good ball valve to vent out the chamber along with a fan maybe. Before you put together a cannon, you should test te burn to see if it will work when it is inclosed in pvc. Actually you know what I have a BERNZOMATIC push button flame torch, that is use for pyrotecnics, and that can ignite in a closed in pipe.

1. Your going to have to put threads on the end of the birner, or weld some metal pipe with threads on the end that the burner can snuggly fit in, to the chamber. Which is totally possible, but I don't know if you would loss air efficentcy inside the chamber. It should still work though.

What does everyone else think?

CannonCreator, perhaps you should stop posting for a while, or at least until your knowledge level catches up with your user name.

The igniter looks like a specialized piezo igniter. Very easy to use in a spud gun without any significant mod's. Connect a wire to the fine wire inside the end of the sparker (where is makes its spark), slip a piece of insulation, or heat shrink tubing, over the connection to keep it from sparking where it was designed to. Connect another wire to any metal part on the igniter. Run those two wires to whatever you use as the spark gaps on the gun.

EDIT: wreally bad engrish

Do You Know what a Bunsen burner is? They don't have sparkers retard

The ignitor IS a piezo electric sparker. you could always install one in a tee.

>jimmy101: I tried.apparently thecurrent was fast and strong engough to run over the wire.

>cannon creator: What do you mean they don't have sparkers? whats that pic on my topic?

Apparently you don't know what a Bunsen burner is, or what this thread is about. From the OP;

Sweet!! Iv'e been quoted!! Yes!
Thx flamerz!

Anyways, I think the igniter would provide great ignition. Try it!
