This is my first project in combustion cannons, the goal is to make a semi-automatic combustion cannon. The reloading of the ammo wil be with a gravity magazine, the feul injection will be injected thro the barrel with a piston. The schematics wil come... SOON  .
Greetings Tom

did you think about how your going to vent the chamber after every shot?

Yes, the feul mixture will consist 3/4 air and 1/4 lichter fuel.

Venting in the chamber means replacing the used air with fresh air so the next fuel / air mixture will ignite. Maybe you should make a normal combustion first to get the idea of how they work (don't forget to search the forum to get the best ideas).

What kind of fuel are you talking about? With propane you need about 4% fuel and 96% air. With butane, it should be closer to 3%, and MAPP should be close to 5%.

It's a mixture of butane and propane.

Why are you mixing the propane with the butane?

you can buy canisters that have propane/butane mix at camping stores.

this might be too complicated for a first combustion try an advanced first if you want but not develop some totally new (i think) idea.

There have been semi-auto combustions before (Revolver X, for example), but they are immensely complex, due to issues with venting, rapid fuel injection, and overheating which must be overcome.

Be sure to post those schematics, you may surprise us all :D :D

yeah, i'd like to see the schematics before you give up.Also why not a fa to vent the chamber? but you'd have to have a trigger for that as well. .

Go manully rapid fire with a gatling style combustion. It is way more simple, just make 6-8 normal combustion cannons onto a revolving thing controlled by a crank which rotates the barrels and put the spark contacts on the back of all the cannons. Make it so that the individual cannon's spark contacts line up with a main back one on the frame when you rotate the barrels with the crank. Have the contact on the frame powered by a constant electrical ignition source such as a stun gun.
