You're going to find the overwhelming majority here will vote for propane or MAPP gas.

I use propane because of it's easy availability ($3 per cylinder at the local hardware store), power, and cleanliness (as superspudder pointed out, it leaves no gunk or residue in your chamber, unlike any aerosol fuel).

For spray fuels, car starter fluid is the way to go...

butane,propane,and ether are the only fuels i use.

I like Butane because it is easy to meter and cheap as chips. In non-pvc cannons i like to use Methylethylketone or M.E.K. , 1 or 2 drops, wait 5 secs...fire in the hole! Works a treat.

Propane, injected through a hollow schrader with a syringe. Works perfectly every time, except with huge chambers.

Propane for cost-effectiveness, MAPP for power (metered of course). Unfortunately for me, cost-effectiveness always seems to take a back seat to power, which is probably why I have a few experimental launchers, and only one in somewhat working condition, which will be in the top 10 most powerful launchers here when I finally get the bugs worked out and post it.

I do have a really old spray'n'pray combustion that uses Axe deoderant with surprising efficacy.

I'm kind'a partial to Static Guard, but only becuse I've been too lazy to set up my propane . . . .Butane is pretty neat too.

Lynx Deodorant. Because I actually have a can and the cans can make really hand pistons for valves.

Propane because I only tried it once and I obliterated the target (Glass).
Then my neighbour nutted at me, so no more propane.

I like butane so far in my minis cos it leaves no residue. I cant find propane tanks in my area dunno why.

starter fluid and a small amount of mapp gas for extra fire power!
