This is my third combustion and the second I've made which has a 4" chamber. I tried several new things on this cannon and I'm very happy with the results. There is still a lot of thing's to be done and touched up, but it fires and it fires HARD!

I haven't got a chronograph so I don't have any FPS numbers. I did however measure one shot with a measuring wheel at 683 feet. This shot was with a persimmon which sucks as a projectile as they spin and tumble downrange when they don't fly apart on muzzle exit. I'm positive I could get another 200-300ft with a better projectile and higher firing angle.

The barrel and chamber are both SDR-26 thinwall pipe. The Oatey brand 4oz primer and cement can's fit perfectly in the barrel. I have already shot my old primer can filled with water, and I plan to make a mold with the cement can.

I used a $1.67 personal/camping fan I found at WalMart as my venting and mixing fan.. I recommend that everyone try them at least once as you WON'T be disappointed. The fan moves a ton of air and you can hear it running inside the gun from several feet away. I plan to replace the end cap with a large ball valve and add some reducing tee handles some time next week.

32" Long 4" SDR-26 Chamber
86" Long 2" SDR-26 Barrel
Camping Fan for mixing/venting
BBQ Ignition with 1 Sparkgap... Will be replaced with sparkplug.

Future Upgrades.
HANDLES!
Different Sized Barrels
Sparkplug ignition gap
Possibly a Breech loading 2" Barrel
Bipod

I took a few quick pic's and recorded a couple shots I took at an old truck cab that belongs to my brother.

Video was originally fairly high res, after I uploaded it to youtube it looks like I took it with a cell phone..

Nice job. A paint job would do you some good. :P I have a question though...

Is the hose you are using for the propane injection pressure rated?

If so, where did you get it?

Again, nice cannon. Looks like it packs quite a bit of power.
Kthx, BAI

The section of hose that runs from tank to meter is fuel hose for cars so it should be good for quite a bit of pressure. I got it at Napa autoparts, I can't remember the exact price per foot but it was really cheap.

The section that runs from meter to chamber is LP gas line from a propane camping stove.

I'm glad you guy like the cannon, I might paint it once It's 100% complete. I feel like this cannon has more knock down power and range then any other cannon I have built so far. I love it!

Nice i plan on making a combustion like this pretty soon. I want to have a clear chamber and i see that these kinds of cannons, that you made, are pretty easy. :D
This will be my first combustion

P.S. What is that cannon next to the cannon in at 3.08 of the video. Looks like that cannon could do some damage 8)

At 3:08, It's basically an 8ft long piece of 4" SDR-26, with a propane meter. Lobs propane bottles and small coffee cans between 200-300 feet. Has loads of energy point blank but not enough ass to really get anything flying.

Once I get everything tweaked out and get some more pic's and video I will update this thread with them.

Glad you guys like it.

Great gun, shame about the video.

I love Napa autoparts, probably the most useful store in my town. That's where I get my 3000 psi quick connects and 5800 psi PVC hose.
