This is my newest and latest cannon. its was built completly of scraps that i have laying around, it did not cost me a single penny. the chamber is a 2'' tee. the barrel is about 16'' of 3/4'' pvc. the chamber is about 8'' long. idealy the barrel would be about 3 or 4 inches longer (just an educated guess, i didnt accually do the math). the ignition is a lantern sparker.

its accually pretty fun to mess around with. the fuel is mapp gas or propane, ive been using mapp gas.

suggestions/comments welcome.

note- im fully aware of the fact that i used DWV ABS. due to the size of the cannon, i really dont care, so please dont point it out.

Thats a really cool setup, nice and clean looking. Some handles would give it a tommy gun look. Maybe a handle below the tee and one attached to the barrel somehow would really set it off. Give it a flat black paint job and you have yourself a street sweeper! :D Would be kind of hard to twist the sparker with both hands on handles now that I think about it.. :?

Overall Very Nice!

Very nice, kind of reminds me of my "Garbage Gun"

Mine is a lot smaller by the look of it- you should get some decent power out of it. :P Do you know how much fuel you need? Mine needs 2cc of butane.
Nice :)

Do you know how much fuel you need?
umm, i just open up the torch head and spray it in for about 1/2 second or so. i didnt even try to messure the fuel, but i it worked on the first try, so im happy.

thanks for the comments, im accually pretty happy with it. it almost looks like i planned to make it...

originally i was going to use a bbq ignitor and make a handle for it, but i put the sparkers to far apart, so i just made a big hole and put the lantern sparker in.

Forgot to ask but have you destroyed anything with it yet?

If so could we get some damage pics or maybe a video? :)

Oh yea what do you use as ammo?

the first time i shot it was tonight and i was just shooting some aluminum foil that i rolled up into a ball. i dont know that it really has the power to "destroy" anything. ill have to get some potatos tomarrow. if i feel its powerful enough ill post pictures, but i dont have a camera to post a video.

i dont think i have the mixture perfect yet, but when i do im sure it will have decent power. the foil only went about 150 feet or so, but im sure a potato will go farther.

I have one kind of like that. I shot a jawbreaker and dented the solid brass bell on my treehouse. I bet it has a lot of power.

ive been shooting this quite a bit lately and it is really loud. i used a 3 layers of aluminum foil as a burst disk and it was probably as loud as a shot gun.

it can shoot a marble through a soda can. maybe tomarrow ill get some damage pics up.
