Whats the set psi in standard propane tanks??

What is the standard set psi in a small one time use propane tank?? i just tested my propane meter, and when i opened the first valve, the psi gauge shot up to like 100psi..is this right?

no your gauge is broken, propane is stored in a vacuum for the most efficiency.

/sarcasm.
Propane is usually inbetween 90 psi and sometimes over 100 depending on the temperature.

The pressure depends on the temperature, usually the vapor pressure is between 130-200 psi from 73 degrees f to 120 degrees.

ahhh, okok thanks! that makes me feel better about my gauge working..

i always thought the propane bottles were like 90psi
