Is this possible? Could i make a paintball cannon if it were combustion? I've only heard of it being used with a pneumatic...

easily*
*maybe not so easily, but it is definatly do-able.

Nice dude. I was just worried about the paintball either exploding in the barrel as it passes through or the heat making it less durable.

Yeah, no problem. Don't worry about the paintball exploding. The tube-shaped thing is the chamber, and it about the size of a can of red bull. It does not appear to have a chamber fan or anything to mix or vent the fuel.
The most challenging part of making one of these would be constructing a propane meter capable of measuring 4-6 times a second for fire.

There are not many full-auto combustions around, but YES its doable.
If you want to make a semi it gets easyer and just a single shot one can be made easily.

How the hell could someone make a semi-auto combustion? I've been on this site for a while now and havent seen one on here? Anyone have pics of one or plans?...Could be my next project.

The way the PEP combusiton Paintball guns work is that:
every pump empties the chamber, then draws in air and Propane from the tank at a defined rate to give the perfect mix every time. (syringe????)
i found a diagram of it somewhere, but with some clever needle valve work i feel like anyone on this fourum could make something that works like this. its EXTREMELY simple.
actually, i feel like somoene could make something like that with 50X the amount of power........... firing marbles... lol.

Don't look at the whole picture. Break it down and look at it in sections. Tippmanns are never complicated.

Lol, you'll scare people off the idea by posting an uber-detailed breakdown diagram like that.
Heres a simple animation I snaffled from somewhere (click to enlarge):

yes thats the animation i was talking about. i might make one of these......., exept hybrid style and a larger calibre.

oh okay that actualy doesnt seem to hard to construct one yourself. i like the simple loading design i wonder what would happen i you held the pump against the spring. would it inject more propane?

Hey, he asked for a diagram...
