I want to build a potato pistol... a little handheld. Not a mini made out of garbage & tape.... but a 2" chamber made of fittings, and some kind of 1" or 1.5" barrel. I found all the parts I need at home depot but here's my problem: none of the fittings say anything about being pressure rated. In fact, they all say DWV.
That makes me think I'd be building a shrapnel bomb if I used these. Does anyone know where on earth I would find pressure rated 2" PVC SCH 40 fittings?
Check out the picture for the idea I'm going for. The 2" PVC pipe itself that would be needed to connect a few of the parts is missing of course, since I did this on the floor of the hardware store.
I apologize if I didn't search thoroughly enough; I ran a few different queries and read about 60 posts, but didn't see anything that addresses this type of situation.

Not Mini, but certainly not Cannon either
dont worry about it being DWV, i can tell you that is IS dwv, but its small enough that as a combustion it wont hurt is. its about the size of my mini.

Go for it. The heart wants what the heart wants. DWV is perfectly safe for combustions. I used it on mine. Its only blown up once due to my crappy epoxy job and some MAPP gas. Just do it man.

xequa, your searching probably lasted about six times as long as the average new member I like your design and can see no reason why it won't be bonza! Welcome to Spudfiles mate.
P.S. You do know that the surgeon general has classed spuddin as "addictive" right?

Mr.C: That's not as easy as you think. It's like me kicking you in the balls and telling you to stop crying.
