Dual BBQ sparks

I was looking on the spudtech FAQs and saw the thing about dual sparks but didn't understand the diagram. I searched here but couldn't find anything.
Is it like this?

The first one. The only wires you need are the ones from the clicker. On the bottom side there you can just run the wire inside, no need to go outside with that one.

won't the combustion melt the rubber insulation if i put the wire inside?

alright i still don't really underrstand why but ill trust u. I still don't get how chamber fans aren't melted into globs of plastic but whatever

Because the heat from the combustion last for only a few milliseconds. To melt something doesn't require the surrounding atmosphere to be the temperature required, what has to happen is the substance needs to be heated to that temperature. The combustion lasts only a few milliseconds, which isn't nearly long enough to transfer enough energy to the plastic to melt it. They'll get soot on them, but not much more.
