Looking through the sears adverts today I didn't see any decent compressors, but I did see a pressure washer on sale. They Claim it can go up to 2000 psi, though I doubt I could ever build anything suited for those pressures. Just wondering has anyone ever attempted to use this as a power source, or just use it to directly power a full auto? I know that those things can really dish out the water. will they pressurize with just air or is water necessary? Thanks in advance.

You need to run water through them, however it would be possible to pressurize a chamber with one i think. Like some people pressurize their Hybrids with tap water. You would have the problem of dumping some water after each shot though. I would put it in the "impractical" basket.

Ok, I'm not gonna drop $170 USD for something that might be able to work.

I tired it once with a 3/4" sch160 chamber and some hydraulic fittings. It didn't work that good, meaby with some more time on it I could have got it to work better but it was to impartial.
