Ignition coil

hey guys, can any of you explain to me how to biuld an igntion coil that can be run by a camera circuit, as said here

typically people use an ignition coil from a car i dont know how to build one

That link is fairly overcomplicated.
All you have to do is dump the capacitor through the coil via an automotive relay or preferably a heavy-duty manual switch.
I can't remember which side of the coil is + or - (the leads marked 15 and 1). You need to run the HV output of the coil back to the negative side of your capacitor IIRC. If you wire the circuit backwards you will kill it.
Modifying the flash to fit in a project box is optional.

well.. i just want to build a small ignition coil so that i can put it all in a project box

best bet would be go down to sears and find the smallest lawnmower engine coil you can and hope it fits in a project box

Luckily I saw this thread. I know of two different ignition coil circuits that are small and compact.
This one uses a car battery or any other 12v 6A source to operate.
This one uses a 230v outlet, but I know from experience that 120v will work just as well on the same circuit.
