Here is a thread about my new spud gun. It is nothing way too special, but It is respectable in my eyes...

Here is a picture of my OLD gun (the bbq ignitor was on the endcap)

It cost 66.88 - I had enough by 11 cents! (we got lucky - they didnt charge us for the cleanout cap ;))
I also made a not yet working mini pneumatic gun with that wimpy barrel and puny ball valve

Where should I mount the schrader valve to fill the chamber with propane?

I dont have it yet, and I also need a propane fitting. I hope to pick those up by this weekend. I cant wait for the first test fire. =]

Someday I hope to get a chamber fan if it is too tame for me.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Here's my launcher. I really like the handle design and it makes the launcher perfectly balanced.

As far as ratio, I went for .8:1. The reason; Burnt Latke did tests with a launcher very similar in size (which also happens to be very, very similar to the size you're wanting) and that seemed to be the best ratio. Including fittings (inline configuration), my barrel is 44" long. The ratio is not exact, but it is good enough to break bricks

As far as the meter, I've never built one seperate from the chamber, but am planning on doing so when I rebuild my hybrid. I don't see why it won't work.

Here are some pictures of my propane meter. I used teflon tape on the threads on the bottom half of a standard propane torch. The top half threads off. With a really tight hoseclamp, it doesnt leak at all. I used 1/2" pressure rated hose.

I already had a propane torch and I didnt want to cut it up and make a fitting.

This is leak free!

I just realized I am in the wrong thread! can I have a moderator move me to the combustion cannon showcase? sorry, im a noob at this thread
