so the materials used were a 4 foot long 1 by 12 for the barrel
36 in of 2 by 4 for the cumbustion chamber
13 inches of 2 by 4 for the base
and finally 12 deck screws and a few dozen trim nails as well as some good old duct tape to attach the barrel to the chamber

That is totally sick bro, it won't be able to hold pressure for firing but i just love it, well done.

Hell, wrap it in some duct tape and it'll be fine. Great work!

add some more duct tape and some other random crap and it might be worthy of the ghetto award :D

Oh I know! Make a super dodgy scope out of a few magnifying glasses taped to the barrel, tape a flashlight to it, make a coathanger wire bipod, add a laser pointer (MUST BE SECURED USING CLEAR TAPE AS MESSILY AS POSSIBLE) and perhaps a muzzle break made of cardboard. :D

Tactical wooden cannon!

Gratuitous foot shot there...

Uummm it's ghetto alright...almost too much precision work though on that barrel compared to the absolute lack of any on the combustion chamber. A little forced ghettoness there IMO... There needs to be some effort at real construction techniques without actually hitting them correctly...does that make sense. :?:

Hey man, at least the barrel is pretty cool. Why not try the same with the combustion chamber? maybe some good stain? Its a start...

I don't know why but i like it :)

Maybe worth making a "proper" one, correctly joined and finished, maybe with a touch of varnish :D

That occurred to me as well. Forget ghetto...build a nice 8 sided wooden chamber and maybe add some barrel staves around it.

:) Gotta say, the barrel look would be very cool. All it takes it a little time a pride, and this thing would look good over a fireplace :P
