So, i just recieved the BL-520 VADER Edition spudgun for my birthday and i think its the best present i've got in a long time. The VADER look is that all the aluminum pieces are annodized, which gives them the shiny black finish(which i'm a big fan of). Once i tracked down all the PVC parts, MAP gas, a 9 volt, black spray paint, and a few other things i'm forgetting, i was ready to get some shit done! It took me the better part of the afternoon to get this thing together and man, this thing hits hard, real hard. i promptly gathered some random stuff from around the house, and a couple bags of spuds later it was reduced to rubble. Lucky for me i own a resturant and potatoes are plentiful! I'm new to spudfiles, but i like the site and i had to tell somebody about this thing. Check the pics.
PS I just contacted Mike from UltimateSpudgun.com for some of these UHMW rounds, he promised me i can use them over and over and they do more damage, I like more damage

Welcome to the joys of spuddingI promptly gathered some random stuff from around the house, and a couple bags of spuds later it was reduced to rubble.
Nicely put together, though I think what you should be grateful for is knowing someone who would actually give you this for your birthday

I bet you will get alot of damage with those compound rounds the one thing i love about this cannon is that botl system that fills up the cannon with the right amount of propane in it. But i love th whole cannon in general.
Looking good man! I'm glad to see you painted the bottle black too. Maybe we should do an all white storm trooper version.
Next batch of UHMW 2" and 1.7" on the lathe this week.

I hate to point out that for a first post with near pro photospread, it looks like astroturf. Other than the suspicious quality of the first post, nice job.

Given the exposure this firm is getting (which from what we've seen includes the likes of Bam Margera, no less) I really don't think that resorting to such tactics on the spudfiles forum itself would really be necessary.Technician1002 wrote:I hate to point out that for a first post with near pro photospread, it looks like astroturf.

I always tell all of my customers and even the people who don't buy anything to check out spudfiles as a resource of information. The more people involved, the more interesting, the better chance of sustaining the web site and the sport in general.

Your " review" would be a good addition to the Ultimate Spudgun site.
What a birthdaypresent!
Your first post sounds ( or rather reads) like an add..
But I understand your enthousiasm.
Most of us are homebuilders, tinkerers and the like..
And ....most of us will never be able to build to this kind of standard.
To us it's a shame you won't experience the failures ( ) we have, like misfires and such...wich makes us " real" spudders...
Wich is actually a big plus for you..
I'm sure you will try all the add ons available to add some more personal touch.
Be sure to update us if you do...
Welcome to the world of spudding..
Hope you get hooked like us!

That thing is sure to be the envy of all who see you use it. It just doesn't get any better than that. Congratulations on a sickass cannon and have fun with that thing. Don't shoot your eye out!
