Mr. Morph - Advanced Combustion
This combustion unit uses some of the core Sureshot Inc. parts that is used in the BL-417 spudguns.
Features of Mr. Morph
- Primarily designed as a high performance coaxial golf ball cannon
- Unique internal burst disk attachment, optional use
- Coaxial golf ball barrel is completely removable
- External fuel metering system
- 2" aluminum female cam lock breech allows for other non-coaxial barrel attachments
- Allows for 2" burst disk barrel stumps for use in noise cannon mode
Loading golf ball
Slip-On burst disk attachment. These had to be sanded down slightly on the top side so the endcap of the combustion chamber could be screwed on. These otherwise neatly bend down to be exposed to the center of the endcap chamber space. Very easy and effective.
Cut and Sanded down 45 degree elbow.
Burst disk - 2 layers of 2" Scotch 3M Painters Tape.
Detachable Barrel....66" (5 1/2 feet) in total length. Exposed SDR21 slides very snugly through the camlock and the Sureshot PVC offset and finally takes its place at the breech loading location inside the endcap. Locking the camlock effectively seals the chamber.
...uses slightly enlarged inside diameter polycarbonate male camlock. SDR21 1.5" barrel is slid through the male camlock and epoxied in place. The schedule 80 2" sleeve is PVC cemented in place in the 1.5" socket/npt adapter.
The muzzle is neatly trimmed.
The loading breech has golf ball indentions pressed into place. Indention tool available from Sureshot.
The male poly camlock requires some interior diameter sanding. This was done with a sanding drum and drill press.
A 2" nipple is cut to length...
...and cemented in place in the Sureshot Inc. adapter. This allows a female threaded aluminum camlock to be firmly screwed in place.
Burst disk barrel stump for noise production. Requires slightly higher volume of fuel because the coaxial barrel isn't in place.
...installed in the chamber camlock.
Fueling system. To save weight on the unit, an external fuel metering system was chosen.
Mr. Morph advanced combustion system.
Loading, fueling and shooting video. The barn is roughly 80-100 yards away. The ball blasted a hole in the wood sided barn even from that distance. Enjoy!!

Bonus. The mystery "walker-out-of-barner" after the shot is my brother. He thought we had finished shooting at the barn.... Please don't try that at home boys and girls!!!!!
