i was on the burntlatke site(http://www.burntlatke.com/lp.html) and i was looking for parts for that assembly and there like impossible to find on the internet or in stores so is there any other way to do this or is there some spud shop (preferable near georgia) where i can buy all this stuff or what

Those specific parts (I'm assuming you are talking about the blue ones?) are just brass fittings. They are mainly used for copper tubing. As far as the hose goes, it is just a simple braided hose and some of those fittings are clamped onto it using a hydraulic press.

Most hardware stores sells these parts and some will place the fittings onto the hose. More than likely, if you can find a hardware store that does this, they will also sell the hoses.

Another option is to try an auto parts store or a tractor parts store (not Tractor Supply but an actual parts store that sells tractor parts, such as John Deere).

BTW, wherebout's in Georgia are you located?

The most difficult part to find, would be the adapter, for the disposable propane bottle. However, you can find one on a site, that's advertised right here on spudfiles:

Everything else, can be found at most any local hardware store.

IF you want the actual fittings used by burnt lake that are called AN fittings. They are commonly used in custom cars for fuel, NOS, brakes and a host of other aplications. You can get them from places like summit racing or jegs. Try googling Russell automotive plumbing as russel is a popular brand of AN hoses and fittings.

The AN Fittings look really nice, but are very expensive, as compared to just plain ol' brass fittings. For tubing (hose), I've used the <a href="http://www.aquariumsupplies.co.za/image ... 410-10.jpg" target="_blank">1/4" clear PVC braided hose</a>, for the last seven years or so.

You can find this hose at most LOWE'S stores, in the plumbing aisle, usually where they also stock most bathroom fixture fittings. - Which is the aisle that's adjacent to the one where they stock the PVC pipe.

I like it, because it's rated for something like 250psi (info at the store; doesn;t seem to be stamped on the hose itself, which is weird?)... and also because you can actually see if you're accidently getting liquid propane flowing through the lines.

Instead of that plain adapter, you should consider getting a standard basic Bernzomatic torch with the valve attached, and unscrew the crooked torch pipe out of the valve/threaded tank adapter.

Breaking the crooked torch out of the valve will take some doing..it is epoxied into the threads, but a large pipe wrench, vise and some muscle will do the job. Once the torch pipe is screwed out, a Male 1/4" tube to Male 1/4" NPT brass adapter will fit into the valve unit beautifully. Be sure to use pipe sealer or generous teflon tape on the 1/4" tube threads when screwing it in.

Lowes and Home Depot both carry the part in the brass plumbing section. The Bernzomatic valve is so superior to just about anything else you could tack on downstream of the plain adapter....makes this a worthy effort.

Here's how the results should look like when assembled to the tank:

This shows a regulator and quick connect attached as well. You should consider keeping a similar regulator then a hose connection after that if you want to stay true to Latke's MO.
