Spark Igniter

Hi to all on this forum
I'm new there and i'm sorry for my english but i'm italian.

I'm trying to build my 2nd combustion cannon and i'm searching for a powerful spark igniter because with my 1st i had many problems with ignition.

There in Italy i can't find tasers, flint ignitors, bbq igniters or similiar things.
In my 1st cannon i used a common gas-igniter like this:

It makes 2-3 sparks per second but it isn't much powerful.. the maximum gap is 2-3 mm.

In my 2nd cannon i'm using 2 of these and i'm having the same problems i had on my 1st.. when the gas passes trough the 2 electrodes the spark stops and it's difficult to ignite it.

So i searched for an alternative spark igniter and i found this (http://cgi.ebay.it/Battery-Spark-Ignite ... ltDomain_0).

Is this ok for me? I must pay international shipping fee so i must be sure if it's good and if it could resolve my spark igniting problems!

Hai provato con la "spark gap" piu grande, ad esempio 5-6mm? Con un piezo di accendino sono riuscito a operare spudgun abbastanza grandi come questo e questo.

guarda adesso non è malissimo con i due accendigas elettrici a batteria.. però sinceramente mi sono rotto di tutti sti fail nell'accensione, ogni volta un problema.. volevo trovare una soluzione definitiva.. in america ti prendi un taser o un bbq igniter e sei apposto.. noi dobbiamo cercare 1000 soluzioni diverse e neanche una decente ne troviamo!

Personally I get very reliable ignition with cigarette lighter piezos, a slightly larger spark gap might help you, as well as making sure that the wires aren't close at any point.

It could be that spark isn't your problem, are you fuelling correctly? Also, after each shot, do you vent the chamber properly?

Another option you might want to look into is making an ignitor from the flash of a disposable camera, have a look here and here.

... or just make yourself a *proper* air-powered cannon and forget these silly combustions

Fortunatamente per me, io sono americano e può ottenere da queste parti molto facilmente. Il accenditore si prevede l'acquisto da eBay sembra che funzionerà. Questo è l'accenditore che ho, e mi piace. Se si riesce a trovare uno un po 'più potente di quello su eBay, avrei capito. Oppure si può andare con l'idea JSR e costruire un bel cannone pneumatico.

I didn't understand what you've said: are you telling me that the one i linked before (http://bit.ly/aexoIW) isn't much powerful? or that it's the right solution for me?
I'm not sure about ordering that item because the only shipping method is USPS First Class Mail that doesn't offer any kind of tracking and usually takes a long time to get there in Italy.
