This was the first gun, ive made it togheter with a friend. At the beginning it was just a ordinary spray-and-pray. But after som time i added a syringemeter and a chamber fan. We use butan as fuel.
We realized from the start that building a spudgun of this kind of pvc is a bit dangerous, its not preassure rated at al. Thats why we used a couple of fittings so we got double walls here.
We did also always had some kind of safety catch like in the beginning we didnt screw the parts togheter, then the gun blew appart we screwed all the parts togheter except the pipe.
Then the cap started to fly away sometimes. At the time we had those standard gray tees with caps that is for indoor use.
So, then i bought this orange piece that is for outdoors use, rated to Sn8. But at the same time i puted a fan into the camber, and i made a syringemeter, so this cap also flyed away...
Now i have added the threaded rod to hold the cap at place. Since that i doesnt hafe any safety catch left so i dont dare to shot because i think it will maybe blow up. Will fire it soon with a twine on safe distance a couple of times in cold weather to ensure that it wont blow up.
Will put up a movie later
As you can se the gun is mounted at a piece of wood so that i can fire it from a distance with a twine.
The spark gap and the threaded rod.
My first, dangerous, spudgun

I'm with you on calling it dangerous. Wow. Thanks for listening to your self preservation instincts. Not everyone has that.
Great photos by the way. Most people on here can't take photos that clear of close up items such as your spark gap. Well done.

Nothing in the recent ghetto contest could compare to this. While those entries seemed like well-thought-out garbage, this is a pure, make-it-up-as-you ghetto masterpiece. I rarely ever comment on showcase threads, but I feel it necessary to congratulate you on one of the most entertaining builds I've seen in quite a while. You're doing it so wrong that somehow you're doing it right, and for that rare achievement I bestow upon you the coveted Spudfiles Ghetto Award:
Excellent work, sir

You should read the date before posting to make sure your not kicking up a dead topic for no reason. If you have something important to add then its fine but just saying good work on old thread is against the rules.52ndbattalionairsoft wrote:Nice work there bud keep it
