Hi,this is my first ever built.I made it from a MP5 toy gun.and these are some materials I used.
3' of 1/2" pvc pipe for barrel.
2' of 2" pvc for chamber.
2" to 1/2" pvc reducer.
battery operated kitchen igniter.
1/2" T joint for scope.
laser pointer.
epoxy,black paint & some wire.
By the way I used methanol as fuel and glass marbel as ammo.I just squirts the methanol 7 to 13 times into the chamber from end plug located at the end of the chamber, load the marbel from the barel and shoot. It's a very simple basic design, but look cool I guess.

looking good! I like It :)
Have you considered syringe metering? normal metering would ruin the looks.

wow, thats a big jump! most people prefer to start with a burst disk hybrid to get a feel of hybrids in general. However, If you feel your up to it, go for it!

Word of warning for hybrids, always do preliminary testing behind a heavy shield and, if possible, in the middle of nowhere. Piston's are tricky to get right. Mr.Crowley had issues with his opening too early. Do you have a design in mind? If so can you draw up a sketch?

That would be very difficult to get right for each shot. I would suggest using a regulated HPA tank and a propane or MAPP tank mounted if it's portability you want. You would definitely need a guage though. Alcohol is really not a suitable fuel for any type of metering.
