Hello guys
First i have to say that i am new in this forum und say sorry if i have opend a threat with a subjact that already exist.
I am planing to build a spudgun to fire 6mm bb`s but i have 1 problem.
I want to make an electric ignitor out of one of this electricc bug zappers but i can`t get one
in our country.
So my question is : Has someone an idea on how to make an electric ignitor ?
My other question is: Does a long chamber with a small inner diameter works the same
as a short one with a bigger diameter ?
Thank you for all your help.
Xyourhorror
Ps: Sorry for my bad english.

Follow that link and a long skinny tube/chamber will react slower then a short fat tube/chamber.
Welcome to Spudfiles.

he said that he couldn't get a bug zapper jrrdw (not flaming just pointing it out ) ,
one idea for you horror is to get an old camera and see the camera tazer in the how to forum, also peizo grill igniters will work just as well, but if your really dead set on a bug zapper you can go to ebay. Also dont limit yourself, computers and other electronics will have most of the parts to build a taser

You could use the guide
here, or use a three-electrode system similar to how the flash was designed to work by running a third electrode in close proximity to the ones attached to the leads of the capacitor and wire that to the lead going to the trigger plate near the flash lamp.
You could also buy one of
these and remove the sparker from it.
And jrrdw, a short, fat chamber will actually react faster, due to there being a spherical flame front for a larger percentage of the burn tame, rather a couple laminar ones (assuming a single ignition point placed correctly).
