Hi I bought a bbq igniter(sparks when you push the button) it works fine but when we put it in and bolt it it stops sparking except for odd one (1 in 20 pushes). When we take the igniter out it doesnt work anymore ether.

Can anyone give me a reason thx.

I hate bbq ignitors. I've experienced nothing but misfire problems with them. (I'm sure it's ignitors fault and not mine! lol)
You should just upgrade. For a few more bucks, you can pick up a cheap 65,000 volt stun. I got mine on ebay for twenty dollars, and that included shipping. It arrived in two days. Doesn't get any easier.
