This is the first cannon i ever built. It is propane metered,duel spark and chamber fan. Sorry post got messed up. This is my first cannon and took me about a week to build. It is propane metered has duel spark ignition and a chamberfan. Well ill let u guys tell me what u think. Be easy on me im new to this.I have tried to build something from researching everything i could from this forum. The elbows are SCH 80 connected with a nipple. Not sure if that was a good idea? I am building a pneumatic cannon now for the first time using two mauler valves I will post it when complete.

Excellent work. I especially like the opposite angled handles and the silver paint.

I congratulate you on researching, most other first timers come on here and continually ask for plans ust to turn out something pathetic or nothing at all.

It is my first "homedepotprp" just researched alot and took my time to do it right. I will keep listening and reading all the posts in this great forum you guys really know your stuff.

You really know your stuff, and that is a beautiful gun, one of the best combustions I've seen on this forum. Can't wait to see your pnumatic. I love the shiny propane meter.

Oh and why did you drill holes in the end of the barrel?? It improves accuuracy and makes it a little quieter, but it reduces its power. If you want a muzzle break just for looks, build it out of pipe larger than the barrel, so that it won't slow the projectile down.

Sgort's first cannon was a propane metered one. So why should we doubt that any one else could do the same?

Good work on this. I like it. Perhaps here we have another spudding genius on the way?

@Insomniac: Actually, some research my brother did showed that done properly, venting can have huge effects on range and accuracy.

He created a twist lock attachment, and when used, the range easily doubled for some projectiles, with huge increases in accuracy as well, because the projectiles were so stable coming out of the muzzle (we are talking almost rifling levels of stable here!)

Although at short range, venting reduces power, the reduced drag on the stable ammo means that at a small distance, penetration and power are higher.

By far one of the best guns I've ever seen!

I suggest you make you barrel much longer, I would suggest a 6 foot barrel.

Thats a beautiful gun!! To many people underestimate just spending a good solid amount of time thinking things through before they build it!

I dont agree with that... Venting reduces pressure the projectile creates in the barrel by quickly accelerating. Thus adding velocity because there is less pressure pushing back.

Thanks for all the praise, i wouldn't know anything if it wasn't for this forum. So I say thanks to you guys for all your expertise. My pneumatic will be complete in a week. Just got my twin 2" Mauler Valves. Thanks again guys.
