Well I put together my combustion gun today....But as I was glueing it together...I noticed by my last piece that none came out like it usually does- You know, some glue comes out due to squeezing the fitting onto the pipe.

I think this might be because I was gluing a bushing inside of a coupling..And I couldn't see it because the coupling was already glued onto the chamber..so I think it may have just squeezed out inside the coupling..I wiped some glue around the outside seam of the bushing and coupling...But I just want to make sure that it will hold up to being fired for the first time..

Any opinions?? It seems like a stupid question but I just wanna be safe..

funny thing i just did the same thing, and yes it's prpbably that the glue has just squeezed out the other side. For me at least, when ever i glue bushings they always are able to completly fit into the coupler, as other fittings stick out a tiny bit(where the squeezed out glue apears)

So it should be okay then?

yes i would say your fine, as long as you have applied the same amount as you usually do. And its not like a combustion will produce extreme pressures any way, But im not saying start using less glue.


Edit: if you really want to make sure it will be okay, you can always just buy some pvc epoxy to apply around the edge of the bushing. but this is not necesary

Okay I have another question.....My hardware store didnt sell presure rated fittings....Just nsf-dwv......I just saw a post in the launch failure anaylsis log about them blowing off.....But he didnt use primer and I did......Should I be okay?? It doesn't really seem like fittings would matter that much....because the pressure rated pipe is inside them...

well with a pneumatic cannon, nsf-pw fitings are the only way to go. You stated earlier that you built a combustion cannon, combustion cannons are not going to produce enough pressure to cause a dwv fitting to fail. You are perfectly fine usind nsf-dwv for combustions, so no worries!
