weird spark gap results

Hey all,

Well i was testing my BBQ ignitor today before I install it in my gun..And got some weird results..

When I put the two screw thingies about 1/2", give maybe 1/16", I get a really strong, purple spark like I am supposed to. But when I move them closer..Its a lot harder to see-It's almost like a yellow..

Maybe I just didn't measure it and it is 1/4", but it seems a lot bigger..

should I install the screws about a 1/2" apart since that seems to be giving me the best results for some reason??

EDIT: K I just measured it and I'm getting good results both 1/2" gap and with 1/4" gap....I must have had them closer..I might try a dual ignition then if I am getting this much power..

if there is any kind of spark in that chamber it will work (granted you have a good fuel mixture) does not matter the length

K I think I'll do a double spark ignition- put one at the front of the chamber and one at the back
