propane tank and regulator questions

Two questions: are there smaller size propane tanks than the 14.1 oz kind used for blow torches? i looked but couldn't find any. i just think it would be cool if there were some mini tank, so it'd be easily portable, the regular size gives a ton of shots, and a small one should give a good number of shots too.
also, has anyone used this regulator for propane? or something similar?

I am sure there is smaller sized tanks then the 14.1oz cylinders used for propane torches, although I could not find any on a quick Google search. As I see these mini "pencil" torches running off butane, I have to assume there is a similar system running off of propane. You could always make your own, but I think your looking for a commercially available cylinder.
The air pressure regulator pictured should work. I have used several different air pressure regulators, and they all work. Hope that helps you out, and the best of luck.

there are the camping ones that are smaller, but wider. im not sure how much they hold, but they are maybe a little more than half as tall. they use the same threads. you can get them as any camping store and some grocery stores have the too.

thanks guys, i think i'll stick with the 14.1 oz propane tank, rather than the ~16 oz camping one, i like the shape better. i put the cannon together last night, and the regulator works fine, it seems like there's no guarantee but in general the air pressure regulators work fine with propane. i should be all set now, thanks for the input
