Tight chamber fan.... And thats REALLY tight!

I just encountered something weird i just want to tell you guys.
I just fitted a chamber fan, I sawed and shaved the corners of the fan so its almost round.
The fan fits just in. Or in fact, it doesnt fit in, its way too large.
But with alot of force, hammering, squeezing and cursing: i got it in.
Its in REALLY tight, and with that i mean REALLY FKIN TIGHT! So tight as putting a melon in your arse!
Now this tightness forced the PVC pipe to become wider, and now my screw-on end cap doesnt fit anymore!
It feels like its REALLY sticky like glue has come between it... and i cant screw it on very far anymore.
The solution would be shaving off more of the fan... I think ill do that now...
Now i PRAY that the outdiametered (is that a word) pipe will size down a bit or else ill have to do something on the screw cap.
Lesson:
A fan may be even TOO tight.....
Have you guys ever experienced this?
