Hey guys,

This is the very first cannon I have ever built. This was sort of a experiment for me to see if I can make it without help, and it suprised me how easy it is to make, I thought there would be a bunch of problems I would have to fix up. I thought the BBQ ignitor was going to be a problem, but it wasn't. I am now addicted to making cannons, and I have only made one. I know this is not a special cannon at all, its as simple as it gets. But im making designs for a new high end cannon, that I hope will turn out really nice.But I just wanted to share this with everyone, sorry for the borringness of it. Keep in mind It only took me 45 minutes to get everything glued together, and to hook up the BBQ ignitor and everything, allthough I did have to wait till the next day for the glue to dry, Well enjoy all the pics!

thats is a very nice first cannon. don't you dare complain. a tip for you try getting into strafers. there fully automatic. look under the airsoft section in the showcase.

I would insulate your bbq clickers handle or you will get shocked.
Looks nice though.

I do female threads on the chamber becuase, Personally I think that when the barrel isn't on the gun the female threads are easier to prtect becuase there inside the gun, and the male threads would be outside the gun. And if I did have male adapter on the chamber and they got damaged it would be hard to replace, were female threads arn't exposed as much as the male threads.

I guess it just seems different to me because I always put male threads on th chamber. This allows me to breech load through all of my barrels, without any special mechanism.

Actually I have never thought of that, Im used to paintball marker physics and stuff, spud guns are new to me, I never really thought of breech feeding that way, thanks for the new idea!

I have two questions:
1: Have you been shocked by the igniter or that igniter screw yet?
2: Is that lettering on the pipe sharpied out?

Just kidding. That is a very nice cannon, especially for your first. I am looking forward to seeing those advancements you are planning.

lol... Yes that is sharpied out, and yes I have been shocked by the ignitor numerous times before I mounted it. It dosn't hurt, It feels like a really strond tickle. But Im am going to tape and seal the ignitor, LOL.

If you want a good way to mount that BBQ igniter, you could try a 3/4" PVC handle, like on <a HREF="http://www.markfh11q.net/LBJ/meter.jpg">here</A>. I think you can see what's goin' on in the picture.

Anyways, nice first cannon, and, noname, I also put my female threads on the chamber as well. Another good reason for this is because you can buy cheap "cleanout adapters" that go from a spigot to female threads to compact the design even more, whereas I have never seen a spigot x male thread adapter before.

Nice! looks ALOT like my first ill post that when i find my camera also is that a muzzle knife (if thats what they are called)

Yes it is called a muzzle knife, and There is one on there

Would I be able to paint this with krylon fusion spraypaint?

OR

Will it not work with the Black ABS?
