I think it was "Powerlabs" that fired a golfball at mach 3 using guncotton..
whether the golf balls are going to deform horribly under pressure and jam in the barrel
.
It cleared the barrel, that's for sure..
I would very much like to get the moose pics through pm..as well as some specs about velocity, projectile and such...
just to compare..

Oh my friggin god stop being so awesome, that thing is pure kick ass. Most innovative and creative pneumatic that the files have ever come by!
In all honesty I hate this thread being kicked up, seeing this reminds me I should be building something. I've promised I will after I go pick up the mill slide for my lathe on Monday.

Please don't dig up old threads. It tends to get people annoyed.
Every part was CNC machined by him on lathe or mill.
Actually its only a few parts that i did CNC machine, the lamps to hold the chamber.
I could have CNC machined everything but its a good traning to do it manually.
I did some shooting with the new barrel and it worked quite well, remember that the CB ratio is around 0.07 so its not very suited as a GB cannon.
I did shoot at some car doors and a 1/4" steel plate,
I am still missing some photos (on my brothers camera) but i can show you some of the results .
I did get just under 700m/s , slightly less then HGDT suggested.

Did some test shoots with a relay rich air/propane mixture, it did work better then i thought but reduced the muzzle velocity significantly.

Yea I agree. I have lots of experience on CNC (solidworks ) and I can say it gives you more a sense of self accomplishment when you do your stuff manually.
That is amazing. You need to make some darts for the 1.7" barrel.
It makes me kind of sad watching you destroy perfectly good raw materials, but I suppose you have enough of those laying around that it doesn't bother you.
what frame rate did you use on the high speed clips? 600fps from an ex-f1?
