Extreme High Velocity Hybrid
This is my latest hybrid, it is made of steel, with 1/4" npt threads and a 1" 3000 psi steel union. It is all welded with 6010 root and 7018 caps.
It will have a dual spark plug ignition which will be powered by a stun gun.
I plan on taking it to 10x mixes in hope of putting a sabotted dart through 1/4" steel plate.
or at least 1/8" steel.
It should be in working condition by christmas.
I will be using air-propane, air-mapp, and possibly oxy-propane or oxy-mapp mixes.
I have one question though.
I mounted my union backwards instead of the usual way that they are mounted.
Will the burst disk slip out of the union when pressurized?
If so, does anyone have a recommended solution.
And if it does I could always just buy a second union and weld it onto the old one.
btw
Those welds may look bad but I assure you that the 6010 root pass came out nice and those welds you see are only caps.
Oh and heres some pics.
