Whilst working on my ignition system for my low mix hybrid.(the evil twin to Mr.C's) i started having problems with the arc after transitioning from prototype to completion namely now a weak arc when it decides to arc. And while running through my arsenal of profanity my father suggested a glow plug. So that got me thinking and i realized that i dont see hardly any, the closest ive seen was lardas resistance wire. So ive got in all two questions. 1 why is it that i dont see any glow plugs used. And 2 would it be a viable option. The ones im looking at have a 1/4-32 thread and run off 1.5-2 v and cost 3-5 usd
