For my newest bbmg I was thinking about some kind of easily changeable pressure source, so instead of having one big tank that you could not change easily and would make the gun a bit unwieldy, you would have a lot of smaller quickly changeable ones in the form of some kind of "air mag" which would make the gun both; easier to carry and wield, and you could have a more compact design.
It had to be reasonably small so you could have a lot of them in a mag holder style bag, and as a result of it being small it had to hold a lot of pressure (talking about 250- 300 psi, a lot of pressure for me) so I decided to make it out of copper.
The way I made it quick change was a bit more difficult, in the end I decided to make it work like co2 canisters on air rifles work, but instead of a breakable one time seal i would use a schrader valve, that would be pushed open by a pin in the end of the chamber you insert it into as shown here:

where the beige color is my stock and the end piece is a twist on PVC cap with a o-ring extension.
The one picture I have at the moment is of the copper-removable chamber.
Any thoughts on my idea are welcome.
(Just a note - no I am not using a cloud or vortex system, I am using a more air-efficient system, which includes a more efficient reciprocating gas ram system)

Sounds cool, will you be using a schrader valve cap for the female connection? If so, get a metal one. But they have terrible flow, so you will need to have an expansion chamber and fire in short bursts. I like the way you think though.

No it will have a blowback system so it automatically re-cocks it, as long as the trigger is held down and there is gas in the tank it will keep firing (vids coming soon)I am little confused about gas ram airguns.Instead of the steel spring compressed air does the job,right.So you must cook it before each shot.
yes it would I in fact thought about this idea to start with but ball valves are more expensive than schraders, and they take up more room and require more connecting parts. If I use an expansion tank idea as said further up the page then the lack of a decent flow would not be that important if i use bursts.wouldn't the quick release fittings for air compressors be easier to use than the schrader valve, it would also get rid of the flow problem. and maybe a ball valve on the tank to stop the loss of air when swapping the tanks
im looking forward to seeing the finished gun i don't yet understand the gas ram idea. it won't let me watch the video at the top it says the video is private i don't know if thats the case for everyone. oh and we had the same amount of posts till i said this
