Like I said, its fine. I can probably fix it, and if I can't ten dollars is not a huge waste of money.

Why waste ten bucks?

Warhead, here is is a comparison of blowby percentage based on the BB diameter. Basically it shows loss of power between barrel types.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Yes, but a bit more than that - in that a tiny difference in barrel diameter (just 0.5mm or 0.01968 inches in the example above) can make a disproportionate and extremely signifcant difference in performance, so it's worth the effort to find the closest possible fit between projectile and barrel.warhead052 wrote:Is it pretty much saying that the tighter the barrel, the better?
Your 1/8 inch pipe requires about 40% more power than a tightbore barrel.
Your pipe barrel would require 140 psi verses 100 psi for a tight bore for equivalent power.
This should explain why you need a tight bore barrel.

Dewey, my only problem is I want to know for a fact that it will feed without me having to cut any part of it, which is why I am going to use the 1/8" barrel... I don't need a tight bore, because my vortex is going to run at around 200 psi....

It doesn't matter what pressure you're gonna use... If you can have a stronger and more accurate gun then why would you use the 1/8" barrel...

Because I want to make sure its going to fit without any feeding problems....
Just don't buy the really cheap BBs, and you won't have feeding issues.

A 3 foot 1/4" barrel is probably cheaper than a brass nipple and it will have no feeding issues.
