um well last time i checked they said you can only import them if they are under 300fps i think and they have some licence as well but the guns are $400
Dude they couldnt be BB guns.. They would be full on air rifles at $400. And I'm guessing you would need an arms licence to purchase one..
It would have to be legit, cause if you can know about it so freely, so can authorities, and I doubt they would just ignore something as serious as illegal firearms, or a non-legit shooting range

Ive read conflicting reports. The general idea is that in South Australia, state laws says that under 180fps and its not a firearm, and not regulated.

you know, there are plastic ball bearings...

no, I am not telling you to buy those expensive as hell ball bearings - just ask someone to repack airsoft bbs into a pack with 'UHMW ball bearings' or 'teflon ball bearings' written on it :)

You need to find a seller who isn't friggin lazy then..

Letter pretty much just said:
"dont do it, its illegal. We arent going to prosecute you this time. You can claim for an import permit (appeal the confiscation) but if your unsuccesful then we might make you pay us back all the money (legal fees) we have to spend to apply for an import permit.. "

It could very well be a scare tactic, cause I could likely claim that they are for a slingshot or something else, though if I dont win, and they do try to make me pay.. Im F'd as Im incredibly poor..

Iv been using 6mm beads.. they have a hole in them which would reduce range and accuracy, but if you run a hopup its not toooooo bad..

The Airsoft guns in S.A Brickworks Markets are indeed for sale BUT you have to licence them!!?.Some are full metal springers and cost $400.00!,I asked a mate in S.A to buy and then send me one but he cant as its so regulated licenecing wise  . yes you can shoot AEG's there too,but cant buy them

More eggs= you had the Airsoft bbs confiscated!!??,I got a bag of 1000 ordered from NZ and had no probs but was 5 years ago.

This place use to sell Airsoft bbs but now only have them with a slingshot kit but do sell a variety of steel bbs for slingshots
