Well what are you waiting for...slap some sights on! But it's a very nice gun. You'll get the accuracy issues ironed out easily, I'm sure. Good work!jmez1996 wrote:inonickname wrote:yeah i know its not great but i can hit a softdrink can at 14m with my first shot with no form of sights so im happy enoughjmez1996 wrote:
Sorry but that's not great accuracy from a vice at 10 meters. It's a result of the smoothbore barrel and projectile.

That's quite a beautiful gun you've made! If you can afford it, you could mod the air tank to fit a PCP pump, and then you'd really be in business.
here you go:jazzman56 wrote:Nice rifle, any chance of those component pictures, you have inspired me to build my own version (if i can source the parts).

Would suggest you try swagging the pellet skirts up in diameter to fit the bore well...should have to push them in a little...if they fall right through...accuracy will definitely suffer.
Nice job on the build.

Yeah they are fairly tight in the breech, once the pressure drops too low sometimes they get stuck.Gippeto wrote:Would suggest you try swagging the pellet skirts up in diameter to fit the bore well...should have to push them in a little...if they fall right through...accuracy will definitely suffer.

He probably got them from a supplier. And you shouldn't "kick up" old topics, this topic is about 4 months old..Asian~creation96 wrote:i was just wondering, where did you get the steel camber and barel? also how were you able to connect the steel chamber to the ball valve?

The tank doesn't get launched.
But then again, you could always PM a member, in this case jmez1996 by clicking on his name shown left of his post.
best way to get a direct answer.

Some folks have taken 150 psi rated QEVs to 500-600 psi with no issues other than increased diaphragm wear. It's never a good idea to exceed the manufacturer's ratings, but in the vast majority of cases as long as you don't overdo it, it's unlikely that a catastrophic failure will occur. At your own risk, of course.
