Hey guys,

This is probably my first proper cannon using the bits and pieces I got from hardware stores from scratch. As you can see it didn't turn out very well lol. I got it up to 60-70'ish psi before i started to hear leaks. At the moment i'm trying to patch up the leaks because it finally wore away and I can only pump it up to 30psi. But it can still fire at least 30rds before its all out of air (1.5sec). This cloud i just a prototype so expect more better portables like in later months (school :()

-Specs-

Length: 45cm
Effective Range: 8.5m (or 30ft)
Max Range: 15m
Muzzle Velocity: 200-250FPS (45psi)
Approx. Muzzle Energy: 0.19-0.29joules
Calibre: 6mm .10g beads
Barrel size & Material: Bic Pen + Aluminium Casing, 38cm, 6.02mm diametre
Operates: 30psi-60psi

Excuse my shadow in the background. And yes it does feel and look like it's going to fall apart at any minute.

Damage pics on 30 psi from 3metres. I fired at the target twice. I'm happy with the results. Well any opinions?

Pretty ghetto, but pretty cool. Has some pretty impressive power too.

Better get on those leaks though. It would be very bad if this thing disassembled itself.

Haha, it's only going to be used as a plinking device. I just made a prototype because most of things i attempt to build usually turns out bad.

The barrel is made from connected bic pens + aluminium barrel for reinforcement.

Yeah the leaks were my fault i pumped it up when it was still drying lol so i'm getting that thing repaired.

Thanks :)

The leaks are probably from the blowgun. You put it on upside down. They only seal correctly if the 1/4 inch side is connected to your air source, and BTW, nice gun, I love Ghetto guns.

Well actually the leak isn't coming from the blowgun but it's comining the elbow piece that i've attached. Like i said i got hasty lol.

Because when i push on the elbow piece the leak disappears... this is about at 60psi btw. So i wouldn't say it the blow gun... but i'm going to work on something different now... with fittins..

btw is it possibled to get a barbed fitting so you don't have to put ur gun "upside down" like u saw in my gun the trigger is right side up...

I think it was a 1/8" inch fitting

Yeah, one of those hose barbs. I need it for the bike tire air hose which connects to the schrader.

Urgle, try not to kick up old threads. Some people get annoyed about it and the answer to you question its what looks like an epoxed fitting.

Welcome to spudfiles (i'm pretty sure i've seen you before though  )
