Vortex Magazine

I was reading the forums until some dude, i forget his name mentioned something about making a clip fed magazine for a BBMG. A response mentioned something about making the bottom round so it be like a vortex gun. That's when it hitted me, why didn't anyone attempt to create a whole punch of vortex blocks / caps and shove it down a cylinder. Something like the design below.

Image

Basically the triangular like blocks in the front view helps the feeding of the ammo, blue is air input, red is bb output. Although my concern for this design is the "friction" since it's going to be fire in an awkward way.
I haven't started building it since i'm still working on my clip fed cloud so... any thoughts?

Where's davidvaini rawr!!

why couldnt it be in a box-shaped magazine?

that is a good idea though. it makes ALOT of sense. not to mention cheap........

Haha, it's just an example of what you can do, I'm sure in a few months time someone(s) will build a whole new arsenal to showcase it on spudfiles. Magazine can be any shape but the magazine should have the vortex block in the magazine itself. I think davidvaini might build one of these actually, hopefully this thread will catch his eye, i'm looking for another cool lookin' gun haha

haha i agree.....

if only i had an air compressor, i would be CRAZY over BBMG's.....

if Davidvani makes a clip-fed gun like this, i hope he makes them square.... lol.

it solves alot of the problems encountered in BBMG clips, like the fact the BB's like to jump out ect ect....

It's because in his previous designs for vortex fed clips... the vortex was always on the top, but I don't think he ever thought of having the vortex in the magazine itself... beside the p90 but you know what i mean lol.

Hopefully when he makes it, some credit coems to me lol, but i don't mind if he doesn't give me any, it would be nice though

So you plan on having the barrel pointing upwards?

Think about where the BB is going to go after entering the 'BB output'. You wouldn't be able to put any kind of bend there because the BB's wouldn't get through it.

Well that's the another point I was thinking about, well look back on the m16 threaded clip design that's in the show case... thats what the bend will look like. Except for it being threaded we'll just have to design some sort of catch so the magazine lock and be held air tight.

The air input tube and barrel is attached in the magazine btw, just that u'll just need some sort of connection

You could have the bb output tube push into another vortex block that would be inside the actual gun, with a barrel attached so that the bbs effectively go through 2 vortex blocks. That would solve the problem of the bbs going around a corner.
