Help with my vortex cap

Hi guys. I'm building a vortex cap gun right now, and I'm hoping you guys can help me with a couple of things. I'm going for a DB design, so I had to use PVC plugs which are flat and domed inside. What distance from the wall do I want the barrel and air holes to be? Also, how many inches from the center do I want the holes to be drilled? Thanks.

the barrel and air port need to be right on the edge. just put then in the middle of the cap.

I have another question, for anybody who doesn't mind answering. At what pressure should I run my vortex cap? Is this subjective for every build, or is there an accepted standard that works well?

It depends on the performance you want to achieve. More pressure = more power, simple as that, though it then has implications for gas consumption.

If you're tied to a compressor and the objective is to break stuff, turn the power up as much as you can.

If you have an on-board air supply and want to use it for skirmishing, then you¡'re better off turning the pressure down to avoid causing too much damage and conserve air to get more shots-per-fill.
