I am not sure were to put this, but because it runs off air I thought pneumatic.
( moved here by BTB) I have about 8 inchs of 2 inch ID pvc, and I want to make it into a cloud bbmg. What do I need to do that? I thought 2 end caps and a barrel of some sort, would that work?

and yea that about all you need.

Ok, thanks. I am thinking about making a vortex block sometime, but I am experimenting with clouds first. If this works, I am going to make a vortex block...

that is going to be a huge cloud chamber. the problem with clouds is they are incredibly inefficient. You are going to need a huge compressor to power that.
I would recommend a much smaller one- i built one out of 1.25" pvc and only 2 inches long. However, I quickly turned to vortex guns as they are a little more efficient.
Honestly, I would recommend building a vortex and bypassing a cloud. Since clouds are so inefficient, vortex guns have much more reliable feeding, and are very easy to build.

My problem is that I dont have a hole saw to make a vortex block, or a compressor. I have a huge air tank that I use a bike pump to fill up (stupid idea I know....), but it works. It holds alot of air, and at around 20 - 50 psi, so its not bad. I am in the process of getting a compressor...

I've used 22mm copper tube and epoxy putty to make a vortex block (in fact a half vortex block) before and that works pretty well.
The vortex cap style bbmgs are quite easy to make without tools.

check out
www.neospud.com
pretty much outlines exactly how to make one.
he uses a full hole for his inline vortexes, but noname has found using a half hole works better. search for noname in spudfiles, and you'll see.

no problem.. have fun. high ROF bbmg's are a blast, albeit extremely inefficient.

I just tryed making a wooden vortex block... Failure, and it is too big for my gun. Now I kinda wish that spud bux were real so I could just buy these parts...

i've used wood. make sure its a hard wood, not balsa. you have to be pretty precise about it, making sure the holes are alighned properly. I messed up a couple times at first as well, don't give up.

I will trade ya 250 spud bux for a vortex block that will fit in a 2 inch pipe!

If you lived near me then I would make you one. I have made 3 vortex blocks for 2" pipe.
