Hey guys I have come up with a neat hammer valve design that is extremely easy to make, all you need is an airtank, a blowgun, and something to use as a hammer and don't forget an airsoft barrel, I have only tested it a few times but the results have been good enough to put an airsoft bb through both sides of a can at 60 psi. just place the barrel in the blowgun, pump up the tank attached to the gun and hit it with a hammer, I'm thinking that this will be good to build a sniper. I think that begginers will find this helpful if they want to make an air efficient gun.

Yeah... A gun triggered by smacking it with a hammer would make a good sniper.

Best thing to do, put a strong expanding spring on a fire extinguisher handle, attach a airsoft barrel to the nozzle, and pressurize to 100ish psi. Then lift the lever and let go and it will smack down onto the piston that holds back the pressure letting out a tiny burst of air. I got about 700 shots out of mine (its not a big tank either) and a average distance of 150 feet with .12g bbs. I just need to figure out a different way to do it, and make an actual rifle and it will work perfectly.

Thanks for that link JSR now I know how to make a better hammer for it, I will end up using the cap gun I think. I will take a picture of my makeshift test design and possibly a video. My current set up is the front end of my bbmg a blowgun and pvc pipe but I was bored and just wanted to try something new.
