Advanced airsoft project

Hi all :)
some of you may remember that I tried to make a semi/full auto selection fire airsoft gun. As I failed, I took a better thought of the goal, and after a quick search through ebay, I came with this project.
So I will use one of these valve as fire valve, and use the solenoid I bought for my former project for reload mechanism, both of them are electric, using 12v DC and I will use the circuit that dewey-1 designed to activate them simultaneously, hoping no double feed or miss feed.
If somebody are very familiar to the type of solenoid valve I'm going to use, please tell me their recycle rate(are they possible to open-close at least 10 times per second).

There are more "555 calculators" out there than you can shake a lambs tail at.

Here's the first one I found in my google search and without a protoboard at hand - I'd say it looks legit.

just enter 10 in the Hertz box if you want 10 RPS.

I have the circuit part done by dewey-1, very well done actually :)
what I need is find the right input/output of the 555 circuit, the real 555 circuit doesn't looks the same as in sketch :? .

why not make a piston-valve driven by a motor? ever seen a steam-train?

Edit: or better yet, if you know how the jackhammer works you could use that instead to drive the piston valve =D

true enough, but its the easiest to create and not much mod. got to disagree with the holding pressure tho, it depends on the piston's seals and that depends on who made it.

Edit: i withdraw my statement, there is a way to enhance the piston valve's pressure flow rate, using this theoretical design:

I call it "FlexPiston", since the piston is hollow and pressure can sip through the holes, the flexible membrane would bend towards the tube and sealing it. while the flexible membrane is sealing the tube it can still stretch further, it'll cause it to keep sealing it even if you're pulling the piston out. upon reaching the critical length of the flexible membrane's tension it'll snap back to it's original shape and unsealing the exit.

to give you an example of how this works, get a tube or straw, place your palm on one end and suck the other, try and pull your hand out.
your skin will keep clinging but will give way after it cannot hold anymore.

or you could just add a gear to increase the torque.

what? you only need like 10revolution per second(600rpm) usually motors have like 20-35revolutions per second(1200-2100rpm)...

Well, I hope to see some progress on this! BTW, it really isn't that hard to make circuits! I think the hardest part of this build will be the loading system!

The schematic shows the pin numbers.
Are you referring to the physical IC package?

10 bar would probably burst teh rubber diaphragm valve that's why sprinkler valves have big washers to take the pressure. also the pressure would hold the diaphragm valve closed most small electronic motors wont pull it back.

True, but a stepper from a plotter or scanner driven by a Darlington array would do the job nicely, hint, hint.....

well i kinda agree, but theres the tension spring for a reason. its to aid the flexible membrane and be able to support higher pressures, but obviously everything has a limit of their own.
