This might be a fun build for someone, its a pistol game, but it could be re-purposed into a dual wield airsoft pistol type thing. Anyone seen this before? Maybe if I find another gas magazine for cheap, I will try it, but this could have some potential, and would be fun as hell. Thoughts?

Yeah, I can get on when ever, as long as school work gets done. So yeah. But gun freak, imagine 2 pistol sized bbmg's, double the power of 1 inline vortex, and it would be much more fun.

What would actually be of interest is how exactly the trigger of the pistol works but there are no detailed drawings of this mechanism.

It's an interesting mechanism though isn't it. I am sure the hopper could be improved.

Jack - it looks as if the trigger slides a tray back with an inlet for a BB - the BB's are fed upwards by the blast of air to keep them set up against the plate. When the trigger slides all the way back, the tray with the hole in it lines up with the air feeder tube to actually propel the BB out the barrel (through a 90 deg turn first). Kind of a lame method if that's actually how it works.

The "meat grinder" feeding mechanism has been tossed around a few times as a Joke on PBnation as a method to incorporate a hopper into the gun to keep the overall height down and make less of a target by reducing the surface area of the frontal profile. I worked a little bit on trying to come up with a cad design on there but never got too far - separating the blast of air from the feed stack was always a problem for the more precise demands of paintball - this system simply blows a constant stream of air over the ball stack as it leaves the grinder.
