I am a noob and I know I have been bothering a great deal of you. I have found a noob friendly gun that even I can design. I do not know what a detent is made of or how to buy or make one. I also am wondering what can I use instead of a hammer valve. Also how powerful will my build be? I plan to make this build under $20.

Firing

WAIT. It doesn't matter, BSP to Npt converters are cheap to buy. Not a big deal.

So I believe I understand =).
- NIBCO 1/4" x 2' Type L Soft Cut Length Copper
Charlotte Pipe 1/2" x 10' Schedule 40 PVC Plain End Pipe
LASCO 1/2" SCH40 Male Adapter
LASCO 1/2" PVC Pressure Sch 40 Cap
LDR 1/2" PVC Ball Valve
Oatey 8 Oz. Handy Pack
Kobalt Analog Pressure Gauge
O-ring < 3/16
1/4" coupling with stop
I will drill in coupling until only the o-ring wont clear it. Power will go down a few psi but the detents will be a major help. The gun will be loaded in the back. The detents will be 6mm apart in the very back of the barrel and the bb is pushed between them. =)

ID of 1/4" type L copper = 0.315"
diameter of airsoft BB = .23622"
Awful barrel.
ID of 9/32" brass tubing = .252"
better barrel.

1/8 inch is WAY too small!! Use what Gun freak suggested, or just buy an airsoft barrel. 6mm brake line is the cheapest, and the best.
