Sprinkler valve quick Q

ive been looking around and cant find this simple answer:

is the sprinkler valve mod made for a one shot only type deal, such as a potato gun? or can i get pulses of air? because i tend to see them on things that only require a quick burst of all the air. I'm going to make a simple bbmg very similar to this one
i just figured the sprinkler valve will give me more air flow

no, sprinkler valves are good for many many shots
when i bought my first one it was 30 bucks,

would you pay 30 bucks to shoot your gun each time?

qev is alot better

You're better off with a QEV, depending on the pilot valve you use you can get either one shot per trigger pull, orconstant pulses.

You can go for a burst fire effect. Something I made a while ago: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/hp-burs ... 11314.html

the type of bbmg im making is a cloud type though, i dont want to get too complicated with my first spud type gun. or can you use a qev in a cloud type?
i already bought a sprinkler anyways

Jimmy made one using a diaphragm valve, similar to a sprinkler valve: http://www.inpharmix.com/jps/diaphram_valve_BBMG.html

im going to eventually make a revolving bbmg minigun with the help of killbuckets designs and these forums later, ill have to check this valve out

You can use a sprinkler valve in the same way, and probably keeping it electrically actuated without modifying it as is common is an easy way to set it up.

doesnt that need the solenoid part though? ive already put jb weld through the hole for the solenoid, so that should render it useless

to be clear, the sprinkler valve blow gun mod will stop firing after i let go of the blow gun trigger, correct?

Technically yes - but you need high flow to the valve for it to reclose, so you can't have a thin line to the valve. A 3/4" valve is more than enough.

so i read somewhere that a blow valve is enough for this minigun, since its using a 6mm barrel. what do you guys think? should i use a sprinkler valve, just the blow gun, or even do the mod to the blow gun to make it blow more air?

the sprinkler mod uses both. but in the videos im watching this guy is only using the blow valve. but i want to know if a blow valve alone vs the sprinkler valve will have any real difference using a 6mm barrel cloud bbmg

You can pick a new one up for very little on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Washing-Machine ... 3a76da0c8b
