Air Chamber Size?

I've got a .5 meter long barrel shooting airsoft pellets with just a 3 way/QEV setup, my question is, about how large do I need to make the temporary air chamber thing on the QEV? I'm trying to maximize power without wasting air (duh I'm pretty sure that's everyones priority
)

In summary, Maximum efficiency is where the pressure in the barrel reaches near zero as the pellet exits. Maximum power is achieved with maximum pressure in the barrel when the pellet leaves, but at the expense of efficiency. Good performance is a balance between the two extremes.

I think you should be able to get 100 shots from a full tank easily. You could probably use 1/2'' steel pipe maybe 6'' long. Run some numbers in GGDT until you get the muzzle velocity you want to achieve and use the volume of the chamber to calculate the number of shots you can get. Remember Boyle's Law. It'll help a lot.

Dump useless Apple overpriced POS crapboxes onto some dumb hipster, build a nice i5 Ivy Bridge PC, get an ATI card too. Install Linux, preferably Gentoo, install Wine, and you'll live a long and happy life.
Or run as administrator in Vista and 7, if you can't do that you need a Mac.
