Hi, just trying to get a working idea for a airsoft BB gravity feed hopper, I'm planning something like this.
The hopper will be 3" ABS and hold several hundred 6mm plastic bb's and will be sealed and pressurised with the same air as going to the barrel.
I'm thinking a blower near the outlet will keep the bb's flowing.
Anybody tried this and got it to work?

i like your idea but i would like to know how it is to be shot full auto or semi auto and im thinking it may not work to well like that because it may send airflow back up into the mag. it seems like grom that pic you are trying to make a bbmg.it may work so you should build a mini model out of a pen and a can.
Love the spring loaded piston, gonna have to study that idea.
I'm going for full auto, basically what I already built turned upside down, mini gun style.
This only holds 100 bb's, and it's empty in a fraction of a second
that's why I want to go with a hopper that holds 1,000's

Looks like gravity fed hoppers don't really work after some experimenting, I will have to try a motor with a paddle like I have seen in some paintball hoppers.

You need some sort of blocker to prevent the BBs stacking up on eachother.

you should make a mini cheap version to test it and if it works tell us

After making lots of mess with hundreds of BB's flying everywhere I decided to scrap the hopper idea and build a Kriss Vector look alike, I alredy had some drawings ready from months ago.
This seems to burst fire 5 bb's consistantly if I drop them in the tube
