Hey guys, after I saw this post http://www.spudfiles.com/pneumatic-cann ... 24091.htmlI wanted to build my first semi auto. So instead of having that stock for an air chamber, I was wondering if I could instead use a CO2 cartridge. I saw this piece on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Portland-Design-W ... 2+inflator and I was wondering if I could connect that to this http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-1-4-in ... pP9-uLWtI0, then connect the regulator to a slide valve to the QEV, would this work? So basically:
CO2 Cartridge-->Regulator-->Slide Valve-->QEV, so before I buy the parts I would like some insight... thanks guys
(Also, what does maximum working pressure mean? what happens if you go over? do things blow up? O_o)

The regulators you linked to are flow regulators, not pressure regulators - so nope. 850 psi of unregulated CO2 is not something you want in low rated fittings. You could however have the 12 gram cartridge expand into a greater volume, have a look here: http://www.privatedata.com/doomlabs/sci ... ience.html

If working pressure is 100 psi, it doesn't mean that the product will blow up at 101 psi. In fact, it probably won't blow up at 200 psi. The manufacturer is telling you however that he cannon guarantee it or be responsible for failure if you chose to exceed the working pressure on a regular basis.

ahh ok thanks for the explanation, so if I were to find a CO2 regulator the design would work (do you know of any?)? I saw a thread couple days ago, it was a rifle with a hammer valve, and used a 12/16 gram co2 cartridge, I couldn't find the thread again but it was really interesting, maybe you would know what thread I'm talking about?
