In the process of converting my airsoft spring powered to nerf darts, it will still be able to fire airsoft with a barrel insert. Inner barrel is 17/32" K&S brass tubing with 9/16" sliding over that and 1/2" plumbing copper over that, all a perfect fit. First test fire show this has some power, way more than my CedaS it seems, going to get my homemade chrono hooked up again when it's finished. Also added some Drillium.

Got it finished, my homemades chrono shows 140 fps for it and 115 fps for my Ceda S in comparison. To charge and load is two seperate actions but is no problem.

Nice! My Ceda does around 130fps if I recall. Did you check the piston for lubrication? Sometimes they come totally DRY from the factory. Some lithium grease or silicon grease can help. Mine was actually lubricated but I added some extra.

No I didn't touch anything internal

With some lube this is now shooting at 160fps, full length darts will also fit.

Noice- seems ripe for a pump-grip for priming, provided it wasn't too awkward to hook up at both ends.

Tried that with a smaller version and there was too much twisting torque on the handle to get a smooth operation, would need some linear bearings like this one.

The airsoft barrel slides inside the Nerf barrel and clamps at the front, changed the front grip and the charge handle again. Orange muzzle.
Will put a foam dart into single layer corrugated cardboard.

Airsoft guns are designed for specific size and weight projectiles. Firing a heavier Nerf dart could put stress on the internal components and potentially cause them to break, leading to malfunctions or injuries. It's important to prioritize safety and make sure the modifications are done responsibly. The barrel setup you described (brass tubing with larger diameter tubes over it) might not be ideal for Nerf darts. Nerf darts rely on a tight fit with the barrel for accuracy and performance. The larger diameter sections could create inconsistencies in how the dart travels down the barrel. Linear bearings use a design that minimizes friction between moving parts. This is often achieved with rolling elements like balls or rollers, separating the moving surfaces.

I remade it again into semi auto airsoft, no moving parts, it just blows the BBs up the ammo tube.
