ok well first hello,
now i have been thinking of wht to make....so i thot i could take a spring powered airsoft gun. and then make it run off of the 12gram co2 or off of compressed air. i would use the brass eagle talon for parts for the 12gram part of it. So maby i could make a way to have a burst of air help push the spring along there for making it fire harder and since i will not need much air to do tht i can use other air to recok it. or just a airsoft gun without the spring and using air to push the piston forward.

your probably asking you dont u just get some pvc and do this.....well then i would have to make all the parts involved like piston and all the inners and with an airsoft gun they are cheap and i dont need to make everything.....what do u guys think,suggestions,question?

yes it does sound like a good idea. but it also sounds very tricky

i just dont know how to time the air release with the fireing of the spring. maby i can have it under pressure then fire so i dont have to time it.

Learn about QEV and piston valves and make some models of these but I get what you want to do. All I can say is invest in buying a decent one and just replace the internals with just a simple piston valve.

hmmmm....piston the thing i lothe the most i dont know what it is about them i just cant seem to get them right.

Keep trying mate. It takes a while but if you get it right youll have some decent power.

the brass eagle talon things are actually hammer valves. reasearch them, and then come back. you may find that making one into an airsoft gun would be quite easy. in fact, you gave me a great idea...............

gahh. i get too many ideas on this fourm i dont have deep enough pockets for.

but just keep the talong PB marker togehter. replace the barrel with an airsoft one. wala, airsoft gun..........

VH, thts really wierd cuz me and my friend were actually ganna do tht but i wanted something more powerful...and i know the talon has a hammer in it i am pretty good with paintball guns. and we were ganna do tht excact same mod but im not sure of the power and efficiancy.

youre gonna find the talong gives you upward of 500 FPS......... trust me, ive treid it on my freinds's...............

you could use a lighter spring in the talon toreducee the fps to something more reasonable and increase shot count

just use the talon, itll do wonders.

I had a junky gun that i found, it said stingray on the side if that helps anyone.

I lathed the bolt down (lighter) and made it fit around a airsoft sized barrel. I then took a piece that sealed nicely over the barrel. this piece was slid back and forth by the bolt, to load bbs. (i did run into some probs choppin bbs... yes they do shatter... so if u figure that on out plz tell me) I turned the Co2 way down, and i was still able to to go through some sheet metal i had laying around (sorry... i dont know the thickness, but it was about the same... maybe a little thinner, than the ducts running through my basement).

the things amazing, but i just broke the hopper off (bolt slams DAMN hard), so it needs a lil work.

WOW. i never thot it would shot tht hard cuz i know the talon is a pretty wimpy paintball gun but i guess it would shoot harder with a smaller projectile, soo sharpshooter do u have any pics of your gun tht u tlked about
